Excited -

The Saturday Farmer's market starts up next weekend...I think - It's in May, anyway - and I cannot wait. It is one of my favorite warm weather Saturday morning activities. Plus, Soby's offers New Orleans-style bbq shrimp and grits and that is THE best breakfast on the planet. If you've never had the opportunity to try New Orleans-style bbq shrimp, it is something that definitely needs to be on your to-do list.

With some help from Ben, I got my programs all assembled last night and am getting ready to take them to the bride today at 11:00. In about 30 minutes, I'll be taking the Stray mama kitty to the humane society for her free shots and spay. I hope that she doesn't have Feline Leukemia or FIV, because they'll euthanize her immediately (FeLV is always fatal and super contagious, but she could live a relatively happy and healthy life with FIV, just like people with HIV). Anyway - if she's healthy she'll get shots and spayed and then she'll be up for adoption. So let's send some happy kitty home vibes to Li'l Mama. :-)

Today I am working on my second set of wedding programs for this week and am printing the engagement party invitations for delivery tomorrow, where I will pick up a photo to start on my first paid set of "house notes."

Luckily, with the exception of the "house notes," these are all fast and easy projects.

And with that, I'll likely make more money for the month of April doing design than I made all of last year!

I hope the cat turns out to be OK. Those are nasty diseases. I get Parley's shots updated every time we move. You never know what kind of nasty cat has been lurking in/near/around your new home...

She's actually ok - they did all her surgeries (even though they found out she was pregnant) and I went to pick her up only to find that she hadn't been paid for. So I had to leave her there. :-( The lady said I was supposed to take her tomorrow, but that they'd pick her up tomorrow anyway.

I, of course, came home bawling because I didn't get to say goodbye.

*sigh*

You're such a sweet soul to take care of animals like you do. And the pole dancing?? Well, wish I could say I were a little more surprised, but I'm not. :)

I swear it's not even a real "pole." It was part of the architecture of the upstairs bar where we were all hanging out, but once the suggestion was made, well... :-D
