Lilah's language skills have come so far in the past 6-8 weeks.
Two nights in a row she surprised me by using words I didn't know she knew.
One night I was baking a frozen pizza and she came in to watch me, saw the box, and screamed, "BITZA!!!!!!!!"
:-O
The next night, we went out for japanese fast food and while looking at the big pictures on the wall, she started saying, "Boccolies? BOCCOLIES!" and when Ben held up a piece of broccoli, she smiled and said, "Boccolies, Daddy."
She has definite favorites when it comes to things now. She likes Cheese Crackers. She calls them "Geez Goggles."
She likes to "call roll" - she will just go down the list of everyone she knows: Mommy, Daddy, Nidney (Sidney), Mamma, Papa, Vufall (Zufall), Nay Nay (Mayday), Maos (Cats), Bacca (Patrick), Aubwee (Aubrey) etc. etc. It is so cute. The worst thing is having to tell her that none of those people are here at our house (except me. And I think she gets tired of me.)
I love that child, and I wish I could do better by her. All I can do is try my best.

You are doing awesome!
You are home with her, even though you don't have to be. And that my friend, is awesome. What a fun stage!
I miss that fun stage! I just get to correct Izzy when she says things like hadded (as in hadded to do something) or the wrong tense of a word. Yours is much more entertaining. Oh and I haven't forgotten about the baby card. We've just had a lot come up but I still LOVE it!
You're doing great! She's talking so much. I just getting pointing and nodding head.
Yea for talking! I loved it when mine got there, although now I wish they'd be quiet sometimes! ;)
You are a GREAT mommy! Love ya!
One of the gazillion great things you're doing is documenting things like this. It's freash in your mind now but when she's older, you'll be glad you have something to reference when she asks "what was I like" - or when she's a teen driving you nuts, you can revisit a day like this and smile!
If I had an nickel for every mom who doubted she was doing the best she could, I'd be buying out Oprah!
