But some of them aren't very nice, so I just kept them to myself.
If you don't know, I'm blogging all the crafts that I actually ever get to over at my craft blog
http://www.withpinandink.blogspot.com
It's a good time, and my craft life is far better than anything in my real life (non-Lilah related).
Speaking of that little dream child:
She likes to wear my shoes.
I very clearly remember this one pair of shoes my mom had when I was little that were my favorites to "dress up" in. The were sort of a Mary Jane style, with a thick heel, and they were black patent leather.
My mom has large feet - size 10 - and although I eventually did grow up to wear an 8 myself, I can only imagine how funny it must have been to see my tiny little girl feet, clomping around the house in these black, shiny, boats.
I wonder how much my love of those shoes set in my mind what I like in a shoe now, just as I wonder, and feel a little flattered by, Lilah's appreciation for my shoes now.
I hope I'm a good enough mother that she one day considers my shoes big to fill, and I hope that I impart enough love and wisdom on her that she believes she can fill them anyway.
