That's Elvis Presley, just for any who aren't into nicknames.
So what's a Mommy to do but throw her little princess a King themed party? And you have to start with the invitations, so...
There was much usage of Elvis song titles in the wording of the invite, which made me giggle as much as I know some people rolled their eyes. But I love it. It turned out exactly like the vision in my head, and that just rarely happens.
Yes, that is a shimmery white paper, replicating the oh so shiny jumpsuit of Mr. Presley. I think the invites ended up costing me a million dollars each, but hey - it's my baby's first birthday.
We can go low key next year.
Let me not forget activities:
I "coloring booked" some photos of Elvis I snatched online and printed them on color wonder paper. This is to keep the kids busy while we parents do whatever it is that we parents will do. I am VERY pleased with how they all turned out, but this picture went "coloring book" best of all.More pictures as more stuff gets made.
Uh-huh.

LOVE IT!
You are so creative. I love them! I've been brainstorming about Virginia's party...she shares a birthday with George Washington...not quite as cute as Elvis. :-)
Thanks, Tracy!
Whitney - You mean you don't want to put VA in a little white powdered wig? LOL You could serve cherry pie! And have a red, white and blue theme. :-D
LOOOOVE THIS! You are officially the cutest/most creative Mama ever. The jumpsuit invite made me laugh out loud.. too cute! If you put those in some shops around here, they would sell out.
I'm so excited for that sweet baby's birthday... it got here WAY too fast.. but I'm still excited for y'all.
P.S. Matt shares a birthday with J-Lo. I'm thinking velour tracksuits and big hoop earrings???
Haha, Lauran, or you could just have a "Bad Movie" festival :-D
I needed to know what a girl close to Elvis country would think of the invites. I'm glad you approve!!! And yes, too, too fast. If I weren't so busy, I'm quite sure I'd spend the week crying and wondering where that little tiny 7.5 lb squishy baby went!
I love the Elvis theme. And what a wonderful idea with the coloring sheets. I may have to do that...I even have some of that paper already.
AWESOME! I love the Elvis theme!
And yes - you don't have to go all out for another one like this until - oh, say her super sweet sixteen or something! LOL
Happy Birthday Lilah - and thank you - thank you very much!
Love, love, love!!
