I made aprons for some little girls on my list. My friend Callie has an embroidery machine, so she put their names on them.

I just used some fun dish towels for the front, and a waffle dish towel for the back. Grosgrain ribbon gave me all the ties.
so fun! I packaged these with a set of cookie cutters. I hope the little girls grow up loving them! (And helping their mamas in the kitchen!)
For my mom, I created a silhouette of Lilah. We had tried for a couple of months to get an appointment to have her sit for a silhouette artist in town, but that never worked out. I finally got frustrated and decided I could do it myself. So I did. When my mom opened it, she cried. I thought it looked nice, and I was glad she liked it, too.
Now these were my favorites...I call them Celeb-Re-Tees! Here is Prince from the Purple Rain poster for my friend Kenina.
And a later version of the Purple One for my friend Callie, who is such a big Prince fan, she has his symbol tattooed on her back.
For my friend Tinita, a huge Celtics fan, her favorite player, Kevin Garnett!
These are reverse appliqued; I am working on opening an etsy shop where I will sell this type of shirt in the next few days!

For a couple of the baby girls I know - including mine - I made these little purple kitty hats. I also made an awesome brown owl hat for one sweet little boy I know, but I forgot to take a picture before sending it off. I am assured by his sweet mama that it is a big hit. :-)
Lilah received her hat in her stocking, and was kind enough to wear it for 30 seconds so I could get a picture. She wears it on a regular basis with no issues, until we get in the car. Then it's off in a flash.
Finally are the binders I made for a few people. I just love these fabric covered binders, and I thought other people might have a use for them, too. I put their last initial on them and left them without inserts - I wanted to leave them open for whatever they wanted to put in there. They will be perfect for photos, recipes, coupons...anything you want!I started working on these Christmas gifts in March; I still took until December 27 to get everything done. I hope that with the receipt of my super awesome BabyLock sewing and embroidery machine that Ben gave me for Christmas (major, major Christmas gift!) that anythign I make for next year will be 900 times nicer than the things I made this year...and also done before Thanksgiving! So far, so good...I already have a couple of ideas!

I'm am beyond jealous of your crafty creative sew-y skills! I even posted about it on my blog. You're awesome. The owl hat is the coolest thing ever and as soon as I have a few days off with my little one I'm going to take a kick ass picture for you!
I love everyone of those! Isla's purple kitty hat was sooo cute. Additionally, we loved our gifts and enjoyed opening them together at the Ford Christmas Extravaganza 09. Your thoughtfulness never ceases to amaze me! Thanks for being such great friends to us - we surely love you!
PS Love the Elvis party theme! We spent our honeymoon at Graceland - 10 YEARS AGO!!!!
I am so jealous of your Christmas gift! You are going to have "sew" much fun. HA! My MIL gave me her serger that she doesn't use...know I just have to get it out of the box and figure-out how to use it.
