The scariest thing to me is not Halloween goblins.

Do not base your vote on a commercial, or a string of out-of-context audio/video "soundbites." Do not allow a candidate to tell you why you shouldn't vote for the other guy. Demand from your candidate that they prove to you why you SHOULD vote for them. Do not blindly accept the opinion of your brother or your dad; your husband, your preacher or your best friend; not even of your favorite news anchor. Do your own research. Read transcripts, don't look at summaries.

We deserve - as citizens of this country - to walk into the voting booth on Tuesday KNOWING that we have made ourselves as knowledgeable as possible about both candidates (not what each candidate says about the other one). Do not let them scare you, do not let them make false promises.

Make sure you know exactly what they CAN do as president and what they are just saying to make you feel better about yourself.

Please be informed. Please be wise.

Please vote.

Good schpeel! I totally agree with you. I'm devoting my blog to a political discussion until election day. Perhaps it will get people thinking and encourage them to vote for somebody for reasons other than Paris Hilton...

Well said. I find the hardest thing is to get unbiased information, on either side. That is frustrating. It is frustrating that the even the news channels have their favorites. I had to turn off CNN last night; I just couldn't take it anymore. Where, or where, can I read things about these candidates that is TRULY unbiased. Anyone, anyone?
