Real Genius

So I don't know whose idea it was to play "Discontinue all the stuff the 31-week pregnant lady likes" today, but they can go straight to Hell.

a - My nursery furniture is like, practically impossible to get. Not totally, but enough to make it not worth the effort.

b - I get an email from Babies-R-Us telling me the travel system I picked - Because it is awesome houndstooth check with red trim - is now discontinued and HEY they don't have anymore at my local Babies-R-Us. It is, however, worth the effort of having Ben drive to Asheville tomorrow to get it because Dammit - you are NOT taking away the joy of my having both the nursery furniture and the carseat I want.

c - Every year I buy a Far Side planner. Guess who isn't putting out a planner this year. UM, REALLY? As if I don't have to deal with ENOUGH CHANGE in the new year, now you're going to force me to choose a new planner????

Today was not the day for this. I already feel like a bad mother because I don't have furniture or a room or well, anything for my baby besides clothes, and so on top of that you're going to just start telling me about how the stuff I picked isn't going to be available to me when I get the money to go get it? Babies'r'us can go straight to Hell. Not only do they continually discontinue items, they also have THE crappiest customer service department ever.

As far as your nursery woes. . if I could box up little man's room and send it to Lilah, I would. Because Lord knows that little joker has yet to sleep in his own room. It'll all be okay Mama! When it rains, it pours... tomorrow will be much happier day.

Houndstooth?
Shocker.
Nothing to do with a tide that rolls I'm sure ;)

We play ya'll this weekend!! It's gonna be BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD. I'm tivoing the badness! *Luv to you & the wee one*

Sorry to hear the woes. I agree with your friend Lauren...I too can not stand Babies R Us. I never understand why the discontinue stuff, but still have it on their website. The stupid-heads. Hope you can find something better.

Don't feel like a bad mother! Trust me, you'll one day do far worse things to your young offspring than not have furniture. Did I ever tell you about the time I, in a delirium from lack of sleep, pinned (with a pin) Evie's diaper to her 3month old SKIN? Then, when I couldn't figure out why she WOULD NOT STOP CRYING, I yelled out, "WHY ARE YOU CRYING?!!!" Once I regained my momentarily (yeah right) gone sanity and realized my atrocity fixed it then sat down and joined her in sobbing! Such good times! You see, no bed is way better than that. (PS she still has a scar)

Tracy - I know you're right...sometimes I just wonder. :-)

Lauran - we got lucky getting the travel system today from a store up in Asheville. Poor Ben...he had to take 3 hours out of his day to go up there, buy it, and come back home. PLUS he went by USA Baby on the way back to order our 1st Runner-Up furniture. So we should have that in about 10 weeks *fingers crossed*

I know you're right...I feel better today...it was just one of those days, you know? Have fun watching your tivo'd game this weekend ;-)

Sara - We were able to get what we wanted, but you're right...they keep everything up there! What is the point of picking stuff out if before you can even get a baby born it's discontinued? It's not like we registered before she was conceived. LOL

Jennie - I did not know that story, but OMG NO YOU DID NOT!!!!!!!!! Oh well, if a great mama like you can accidentally pin a diaper TO her baby, then I worry about what tragedy is going to befall poor little Lilah Mac...
