Had an appointment with my midwife today. It didn't go as great as I would have preferred. I had an elevated sugar level in my urine, and that bothered me since it was fine when I was there 2 weeks ago. :-/ She wasn't concerned; she asked what I had eaten for breakfast and when I told her Life Cereal she just said I needed to make sure I drank a lot of water and tried to always eat protein when eating carbs or sugar to help it metabolize at a slower rate. My blood levels did come back good, so that was good. I also had to do the Group B Strep swab, so we'll see how that turns out.
Baby is still head down, but she's turned from having her back to my right side to having her back on my back. NOT exactly the optimal position for labor, since that little bony head can be pretty painful scraping against a tailbone during labor, but she's also got PLENTY of time to flip her little butt right over. That explains a lot about all the little knee pokes I've been getting lately. It was really hard to hear her heartbeat today since she has flipped herself away from my belly, though. Hm - it would probably be really easy to get some good ultrasound photos of her right now, though. LOL
Next week I go to see the family medicine doctor and get all the prescriptions for the things I'll need for the birth. And then the week after that I see the midwife again two days before Christmas.
After that, I've got three weeks til my due date.
I'm feeling as overwhelmed as possible today. I'm trying to just take one thing at a time, but when the list runs so long, it's hard to prioritize and figure out what needs to be done first.
*sigh*
I think I'm going to go find a snack. Something full of protein.

It sounds like things are fine! I know you'll do great! I noticed you canceled your trip to T'town! I definitely want to see you and that baby girl after she gets here. Have a Happy Holiday's and let us know if you need anything.
Sorry you're feeling so overwhelmed. Sounds like everything's going well, though. You're getting closer!!! I'm excited for you!!!
Thanks, y'all! I really do feel ok for the most part. Just a few aches and pains that I know will go away eventually. :-)
You're right, she's got plenty of time to flip her little self over. Would be harder if she were head up, but she's good. I'm sure you'll have the delivery you're hoping for. They can do all kind of things to turn babies these days if she does happen to go caddy-wampus.
The baby coming out face or "sunny-side" isn't so bad. Kallie was born that way. Trust me, when the time comes you would be willing for her to come out just about anyway she can as long as she GETS OUT NOW! Glad that you are doing well. My one piece of advice, slow down now because once Miss Lilah makes her debut you will NEVER slow down again. Love you three!
Can you believe it's almost here? wow! Just take everything slwoly- not everyhting will get done and that's ok- seriously, try to rest now....don't worry about all those small things...you'll get them finished later :-) REST!!!!
