I do not know that man, but in his hand he holds the sweet nectar of Christmas: Barber's Egg Nog.I know that there are other nogs out there. I've tried a few of them. I can only say that they are inferior to the nog of my homestate: Barber's Egg Nog.
At Thanksgiving, I had my mom bring me a quart of that creamy, thick, spicy, milky drink so that I could celebrate the holidays proper-like. You know, with drinks that have 220 calories per 8oz.
I should be ashamed to say I probably have only one serving left.
But I'm not. Because Barber's Egg Nog is the BOMB DIGGITY.
I only buy one carton a year. I can drink the entire carton, but then, no more until next Christmas.
It's going to be very hard not to come home from my trip to Alabama this weekend with another quart of nog. But like the holidays themselves, it's best not to overdose on the good stuff. You gotta save some of that magic for the next time.
But Lawdy Mercy - Do I ever love me some nog!

Lilah may need a carton to herself! I think that is the brand that Krager prefers too.
Well I don't remember that brand but the stuff Costco has is pretty darn good, We've had 1 gallon of it and still have 1 gallon left. I do love, as you put it, the sweet nectar of Christmas also!
Yes, Barbers is in deed the best. I went shopping today and the store was out...they only had Southern Comfort. Which is OK, and better than nothing. My mom bought SOY nog while she was here. It was a POOR imitation. If it doesn't stick to the glass and isn't more than 200 calories per 6 oz. serving, it's not real nog.
Sara - I knew I liked that Krager for some reason :-)
Tracy - Our Costco has Land-o-Lakes Nog...which, don't get me wrong, I love their butter, but when it comes to nog, there just is no substitute for Barber's. :-D And if I drank two gallons of Barber's, well...this baby would weigh 27 pounds when she was born. LOLOLOL
Cheyenne - You should have protested! There is no excuse for "running out" of Barber's Nog at the stores! Shame on them. And no offense to your mom, but if you can't have real nog, you just need to not have any. There's no reason to settle for poor substitutions. Whatever objections your conscience or body may have to real nog are totally worth the consequences of having one real glass of it if you really love it. Even hives. :-)
