ugh.

I have a cold.

My nose is raw from blowing it so much, and every time Lilah sneezes now I think I've infected her and I weep for her itty bitty nose holes.

I sneezed today 7 times in a row.

I am taking ALL the garlic and putting baby vasoline on my raw nose. I am also cleaning out my sinuses with a netti pot twice a day. For those of you who do not know what it is, a netti pot is a little pot (duh) that you fill with warm water and salt and then pour it up one nose hole and let it pour out the other. It cleans out your sinuses and uses the antibiotic properties of salt to keep infections from taking hold.

*Note - I do not know this person netti potting her nose. But it was a really good picture!*

I am just hoping for his sake that Ben doesn't catch it, since he goes back to traveling next week, and flying with a head cold SUCKS.

I am also hoping that Lilah has gotten immune to this cold virus via feeding.

If anyone needs me, I'll be blowing my right nose hole, since the cold has settled there.

Oh Rachel I"m so sorry that you feel so yucky! Lilah will be ok, it's good for lil' kids to catch lil' cold to help their immune system, plus you are giving her great antibodies! Have fun with the netti pot. Mike has done it a few times and loved the results, I haven't had a sinus cold since we bought it so I haven't tried it yet. Can doing it twice a day be bad? It seems like an awful lot but then again I don't know since I haven't used one.
I'm guessing sneezing doesn't feel good when it's 7 times in a row!

I've never had a real bad sinus cold. I mainly get sore throats and chest colds. If you get a sore throat, gargle with listerine or peroxide. That helps immensely. I don't do that, though, because I can't gargle. Weird, I know. I think you'll be surprised how quickly little babies get over these bugs (if indeed Lilah does catch it). Didn't the sneezing feel good, though?

PS Your pictures are disgusting. They make me want to live in a bubble.
