Espresso Yourself!

Down the street from my house is a little coffee shop. It opened in March of last year, and Ben took little tiny 10-week-old Lilah in there on their opening day. So, essentially, she's been a customer of "Coffee to a Tea" her whole life.

The shop is owned and operated by a mother and her two daughters, and I feel just as at home in their shop as I do at my Mama's house. They are truly sweet and wonderful ladies, and I'm so glad to patronize their shop! For their anniversary, I gave them the aprons they are wearing in this picture. I thought they deserved to have something "fancy," with their logo on it, just like those big coffee retailers. If you ever come visit me, I will probably take you here for a chicken salad sandwich or a piece of whatever decadent cake they have that day. It is one of the very few expenses in my budget that I am totally unwilling to give up.

On March 19, they celebrated their one-year anniversary and we went to their celebration. After the morning coffee and bagel rush, we had fun putting Lilah "to work" behind the counter.
She started off with her own tiny cup of coffee to help get her through her shift.

Then it was time for a snack. Maybe a piece of cake?
Or maybe something from the pastry case.
A cookie?
Maybe a muffin would be healthier.
Make sure you ring it up!
Two coffees? She'll get those right out.
Don't spill, Lilah!
Yay! Not a drop spilled.
This coffee smells delicious!

Here she is with the great ladies who own/run the shop: Aubrey, Cara and Dawn.

Love seeing the pictures of Lilah. Hate that I missed your visit. I'm totally in construction land...I even dreamed of 1/4 round moulding the other night. Pathetic. I promise to call one day in the near future. I desperately need a break from all this.
Regardless...Lilah's too big, too fast.
