Just a little blog about the goings on in my head, life, and house in the hood.

I am constantly amazed when I realize how much Lilah understands about what we say and what's going on when she is still so unable to express what she wants us to know. She must think we are the stupidest people on earth! She not only pretends to talk on the phone, but she knows how to turn it on and slide the virtual bar to unlock the home screen. She's been known to make phone calls and comment on people's Facebook statuses before we've realized what's happened. She knows that dogs go "woo! woo! woo! woo!" She can replicate "This little piggy" with all the inflection that I give it when I play with her toes, even though she doesn't know the words (but she loves the "wee wee wee, all the home" part). And of course, she can understand and carry out simple instructions, a fact which never ceases to amaze me. Below is the latest example of how we were surprised at what she knows:

It's so fun to see them grow. We take for granted how much little children actually know.
It really is amazing. Even when she gets to the point Olivia is now (see my current blog entry) as far as comprehension, it is still amazing.
Too much cuteness! I'm still amazed that Madeline can hold up her head and giggle when she sees herself in the mirror. I can't imagine how much in awe I'll be when she can actually follow instructions.
I'm surprised she understands anything with those deep southern accents. Get someone from Cleveland to ask her to wash her face. If she does it then, I'll be impressed.
:) Miss me?
Haha, Kerrieann. I'm still hoping you end up in Texas or something so your kids will sound just like this. Lolol.
Wait until she actually starts talking and is INSISTENT that her word is right and you are a moron for not knowing what she's saying.
We had the now famous 'Cidda-Uppa-Da' incident. Miss Thang got quite annoyed with me that I didn't grasp she was saying CINDERELLA.
