This is one of my favorite commercials on tv right now.  Created by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, it absolutely appeals to everything in me that makes me nostalgic.  Vintage photos, people's memories, cars which mean adventures and simpler times and happier times and just goodness.  And of course, when you throw in Ray Charles singing "America the Beautiful," if by the end of the commercial you don't want to see the USA in a Chevrolet, then you might be a communist.

So imagine my super-excitement when I found the blog "Dear Photograph" through my friend Heather.

It's essentially that commercial but with people's personal notes to the photos and the places and you know what?  I'm totally going find the perfect spot to do this when I go home in December for my mom's annual Christmas breakfast.

So if you'll excuse me, I'm off to find the perfect photo from my childhood to use for this project.

Please send tissues, as trips down memory lane tend to make me cry these days.

I like that commercial too. Have you seen the one where the kids find their Dad's Impala? Totally was tearing up with that one.
