Forever

It is a common misconception that living in the South means that it's always Matthew McConoughey movie sweaty hot.  However, the beginning of February isn't normally when you get to enjoy 72+ degree weather, so when you get it, you take full-on advantage of it.  So when it hit 75 and sunny one of those Saturdays back in February,  I loaded up Lilah and the tricycle and we headed out to Furman to take a lovely walk.

We had to get loaded up properly by making sure our supplies were in our trunk.

The clouds in the back look like snow-capped mountains.  Gorgeous view for a ride.

We are focused and ready.  Tricycling is serious bznaz.

Having such fun!

We weren't the only people taking advantage of the beautiful day.

Thumbs up to this activity!

We picked up treasures along the way, like this magic wand.

Riding past the bell tower on the other side of the lake

She made the day of every walker we passed; she was so intent, she chanted "Pedal pedal pedal! Pedal pedal pedal!" for yards at a time.

She was not interested in having photos taken by this point, so she started giving me weird faces on purpose.

We finally stopped for a minute on bench on the other side of the lake.  We had more treasures to collect, like this sycamore ball.

And some words of wisdom, that hit too close to home as I watched my little baby in the body of a big girl peddling on towards the car - "And don't think this will last forever."

The moment won't, but the memory will.

How fun! Be sure to bring that trike when you come to visit next month. We can ride here in the neighborhood or on campus.
