Why I'm a Nerd:

Ben and I went to Costco yesterday, because wandering around warehouse stores really makes me happy.  I like to decorate fake rooms in my fake house with their furniture (they really did have probably the nicest daybed I've ever seen in my life in there) and plot and plan all manner of meals with all the giant in bulk food items.  They also have the BEST deals on books anywhere in the city, so I decided to pick up a couple of books while we were there, despite the fact that I need more books on my bookshelf like I need a giant, gaping wound anywhere in my body.  I mean, I have a serious problem.  But that can be visited at a later post.  For now, I'm here to tell you about the most awesome book in the world:

Chewy, Gooey, Rumble, Plop.



So it's a pop up book about your digestive system.  And on the cover is the most realistic tongue I've ever seen.  It is the perfect shape, size and consistency.  Ben walked around the store with the book I found, held it upside down and it looked like a real tongue was falling out of the book.  Also, it is sticky, and that made me laugh.  So at just $10.99, I HAD TO HAVE IT.

Aside from giving very detailed and helpful information about one's digestive system (such as why you get diarrhea), it is funny to me.  I mean, it's a pop-up book.  With all those fun little movable things on each page.  About how your body is a tube where food goes in and poop comes out.

I know it's a book for children, but I like to learn in a fun way, too.
