I just wanted to say, EEEEEEE!! We have a little hummingbird who visits our yard now! We planted a climbing, spreading vine appropriately called "hummingbird vine" that blooms little trumpet red flowers all over, but that just seems to have gotten the teenie weenie into the yard. He seems to prefer our plants that are really pretty dark red and green leaves that have these crazy little antenna of blue flowers sticking out of them.
OH - on the cute and teenie weenie front: Yesterday Ben called us outside to watch a Mr. Mike Show Production - he had found a little field mouse and was seriously just gently playing with it...more stalking it and touching it than batting it around like he normally does with such things. That little mouse was a bad ass, though, as he kept throwing Mr. Mike off his game by running up his arm to his shoulder, causing MM to pull back to see him and THEN he was in front of MM, jumping at him and clapping his little paws together, as if to say "Get back, you! *clap* I said get back *clap*" We laughed and laughed and then distracted Mr. Mike with treats so the little guy could get up the tree and away from any doom. It was SUCH a cute mouse. I know cats are supposed to demouse your yards and you generally should let them, but he didn't seem interested in murder, just play, so we decided to let mousie live to play another day.
That is all from the land of the teenie weenie and fluffy.
