Ok, so KNOWING that it's ok to gain a pound a week at this point and actually SEEING that happen is two totally different things, peeps.
I still have only gained 9 pounds total, so I know I'm not overdoing it or anything, as I have less pregnancy left than I have behind me, but I just don't want to all of a sudden go over the edge and end up gaining like 70 pounds or something.
I will admit that I have a SUPER sweet-tooth, and it's growing increasingly difficult to ignore it. I've tried to indulge it with fruit or honey or chocolate-covered raisins. But...I don't want that. I want cake and cookies and ice cream and peanut butter pie.
I do not want vegetables and whole grains or proteins.
Nope - give me chocolate.
No, seriously - give me some.
*sigh*

I say eat whatever you want now, but stay away from it all your third trimester. The last two weeks of my pregnancy, I put on almost 20 pounds. Of course, most of it was water, but a good deal of it was McAlister's.
Here, here Cheyenne. Mine was Taco Casa, which, dear Rachael, we will eat for dinner before you leave here to go back home from your baby shower, fyi. That baby must have a taste for what good mexican fast food is really like!
Cheyenne - Ok, you are the second person today to say that in the last 2 weeks of pregnancy they gained 20 pounds.
WHAT THE HECK!?
Jeni - Yum! Taco Casa is the best. :-D
I did the same thing with Jack and Isaak. That is when baby grows the fastest, and I guess that affects us too?! I was just all out fat with Brett!
yum, taco casa- you're making a tennessee girl jealous!! give lilah a cherry empanada for me..and some chocolate- aren't there studies out there about how chocolate is good for you?????
Emily - maybe the body is trying to keep up with the input and output of fluids or something and just kind of gets overwhelmed? I have no idea. :-/ That scares me though! And I have never seen you when you looked anything but skinny or pregnant. LOL So there.
JT - Sadly, I am talking about the superior Taco Casa in Tuscaloosa, though Callie and I did plan to go to Greenville's own today until our plans were thwarted at the last minute! You need to bring Will.i.am on down so he can learn all about Cherry empanadas from the empanada masters!
