So I've been spending all my blogging time lately over at Clipped Blog, and neglecting all the blogs that will actually be precious to someone one day, but that's ok. I just made an epically long and repetitive post on Lilah's baby book blog and I won't rehash it all here except to say that my tiny baby has doubled her birth weight in six months and is 27 1/4 inches long. She has two bottom teeth coming through and is still just a happy little joy. I actually see her learn something new every day, and I am so amazed by that I can't even describe it. Like today - we were outside and I wanted to wear her so I could water the garden. As I was putting her in the carrier, I pointed out a butterfly to her. She watched that butterfly like she was keeping her eyes on a treasure. At one point, the butterfly disappeared behind the hydrangea it was flitting near, and she leaned waaaaaay back to try and find it again. At first I thouht, "What the heck! It's just a butterfly." Then I realized: She has never ever seen one before. Ever. It was ACTUALLY amazing to her, this little paperthin white creature, dancing around the hydrangea bush and into the sky. I nearly burst into tears at the thought of how pure a moment it was.
I've had a personal up this week in finding that some of my pre-pregnancy pants are fitting again. I guess thank heaven for stomach bugs. LOL I also seem to have gotten the better of the Thrush we battled, because I haven't felt yeasty in a week or so. I think it helps that Lilah has slept more and more lately, leaving me less opportunity to make a nice, warm, milky home for all that yeast while I sleep. Actually, the past two nights she's slept amazingly well. I suppose you could officially say it was her first times "sleeping through the night." Monday night she slept from 7:00 - 6:30 and last night she slept from 6:30 - 5:30. We'll see if the trend continues or if it's just a fluke. You would think I would be getting a ton of rest because of that, but actually I wake up religiously at 4:00am having to pee so bad I can't stand it and then I can't fall back to sleep very easily because I'm so engorged that I have to lay on my back. LOL Good times.
Anyway, I guess that's all for now. I've still got MANY things left on my to-do list and about an hour in which to get them done. Such is my life with a blogging addiction!

They are so amazing, aren't they? My kids teach ME everyday!
It gets better and better watching them learn. What amazes me is how quickly they're able to absorb it.
Aw you little sap! I can't tell you how many times I got teary watching those 'firsts' happen. Enjoy them - these little creatures we created are just amazing to watch grow, aren't they?
